Duke of Edinburgh's Award

This year  across June and July, 7 year 11 pupils and 36 year 10 pupils completed their Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's practice and assessment expeditions very successfully. The assessment expedition near Robin Hoods Bay proved that all the hard work in the rain on the practice at Rosedale was worth it. As the moon set across the bright blue skies of Saturday morning the bronze students mobilised themselves to successfully navigate 30km across 2 days. The students were a credit to the school at all times walking in line with the countryside code, safely negotiating natural obstacles independently and developing great teamwork and decision making skills along the way.

Thank you to all the pupils, staff and parents for supporting the DofE work once again this year.
