First ever Selby High School Bake Off
Students from all houses took part on the first ever Selby High School Bake Off. They completed three challenges;
- The signature bake – cupcakes,
- The technical bake – fruit scones and
- The showstopper cake – a one tier celebration cake.
All students worked extremely hard and set a very high standard for future Bake Offs. After some very difficult judging from members of staff a final decision was made. The winner of the first Selby High Bake Off was Kate Hinken from Garrett House with Alfred Golding from Palin House taking second place with only 1 point difference. Euan Forsyth from Hockney House and Helen Thacker from Mason House took joint third place.
Thank you to all those involved – it was a very enjoyable day. We look forward to the future of the Selby High Bake Off.
