Mr Patchesa completes Marathon in 3 hours & 47 minutes

New subject leader for Media Studies, Ben Patchesa, completed the Yorkshire marathon on Sunday 20th October 2013 in an impressive time of 3 hours and 47 minutes putting him in 767th position out of more than 6,000 runners.

The marathon's 26.2 mile (42km) route passed several landmarks in York and travelled through many North Yorkshire villages.

Mr Patchesa raised money for the Matugga Revival Centre in Uganda which provides 700 boys and girls with a Primary and Secondary education, and also includes a farm, medical centre and orphanage. The centre performs miracles with very little funding to transform the lives of the children and wider community it serves.
